Family Work Day

“Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.” -Thomas Edison
The play parents are asked to volunteer to help with props and what-not and to devote one Saturday to get the big stuff done. This was the Saturday. The Producer asked me to take pictures of other people working(Much to my delight). It was very interesting. A lot got done by a little. And a big percentage had their hands in their pockets waiting for direction…..people watching is fun!

Happiness found here

“Be what you would seem to be – or, if you’d like it put more simply – never imagine yourself not to be otherwise than what it might appear to others that what you were or might have been was not otherwise than what you had been would have appeared to them to be otherwise.” ~Lewis Carroll, Alice in Wonderland

I love it when you are happy, Tony……if I were a glow worm, I’d glow with this amazing energy that I feel in my tummy when I see this:

Stop at grocery store and get stuff to make meatball sandwiches

Get Dinner started
Go to football field and give Hubba Joe’s flags for flag football
serve dinner to Nick and Tony
Go to Science Fair for 8 minutes
Get Nick to his Football game
Get Joe from his Football game
Make Joe Dinner
Help Joe with homework
Take Hubba a meatball sandwich at the football field
go to CVS and buy Joe bubble bath
Get joe in the Bath
Start some laundry, do some dishes.
Hubba, Nick, and Tony come home from football….tears, exhaustion, showers, bed.
Watch a story with Hubba on TV and crash

Long time, Friend

“Someone to tell it to is one of the fundamental needs of human beings.” -Miles Franklin

Tony and Caroline have been friends for a long time. She is good people and as we are coming to the close of 6th grade, knowing that everything will change next year, it’s making me a we sentimental…..

a star will be born soon

“Babies are such a nice way to start people.” -Don Herrold
Joe’s Teacher and his wife are having a baby very soon and so for the welcome to the classroom door, I decided on twinkle, twinkle, little star(the star is a star fish) and because they didn’t find out the gender, the kids got to pick what gender they think it’s going to be and hold up a bow tie or hairbow sea star. Complicated, but I get it!

Second Grade Progressive book Project

Someone special at the school is having a Birthday so we made her a book. Each child wrote a page in the story and the teacher wrote the first page and the ending. It turned out great! Tomorrow I shall laminate it and wrap it for our special guest!
