Play the Stencil Forward

My friend Debbie recently moved to Minnesota. Before she left she called me up and shared that she had some crafty goodies to give to me. This first thing that popped out of that box was a stencil of a checker board….an idea was born. I decided the second graders should have a fun game to play over the Thanksgiving break, Hubba cut some leftover wood….I had a gloss finish for the top, all I needed was some paint.

The kids had fun making them. One of the Dad’s helped with the bottle cap checkers and another Mom helped stencil the first day and I finished up the second day. I just love spending a few minutes with each kid…they are so unique and amazing. I’m thankful for them, for the parent helpers, and for Debbie for giving me a box that I could pass on.
