“There’s nothing better than a good friend, except a good friend with chocolate.” ~Linda Grayson, “The Pickwick Papers”

I gave the Teachers and Librarians six pieces of my favorite chocolates, they are my version of See’s Candies Polar Bear paws. White Chocolate, carmel, and peanuts. Yummie.

To the parents of Joe

Be warned Grossness to follow:
projectile ( ) n. A fired, thrown, or otherwise propelled object, such as a bullet, having no capacity for self-propulsion.
Now how would you like to be a Teacher in this situation.
Joe’s Teacher had to ask me to work on Joe’s sneezing. When Joe sneezes he projectile sneezes. The boogers shoot out of his nose and onto any surface with speed and force. Every time it happens Joe acts like he’s been in a car accident, ….”What happened?”. In his six and a half years on earth we had tried to explain tissue usage, to which he responds, “I don’t know when it is going to happen.” So for the next two weeks of vacation Joe will be in intensive tissue training, nose blowing course. Wish us luck!

Holiday Parties

Nick’s and Tony’s party were at the very same time, that proved to be tricky. I had to run home during Tony’s party because whoever brought the OJ didn’t bring cups and she was using the ones I brought for the hot cocoa so we were running out. Plus tony forgot his poem calender at home so I got that as well. Oh and the mouse ornament he made was broken by a classmate before he had a chance to give it to his Teacher, so I also got super glue. Other than that, Tony’s party was smooth sailing.

Nick’s party was wonderful. Full of holiday fun. The kids were working on a holiday project when I finally got there and Nick’s was super cute. Nick was so happy to tell me his bookmark won the contest.

Joe had his holiday centers yesterday, today was Pajama day and a movie. I peeked in because I was already there and gave him a rocketship of love!

Bookmark Contest Winners

“Why not go out on a limb? Isn’t that where the fruit is?” ~Frank Scully
The school district has a bookmark art contest every year. It is not mandatory to turn in, and our school has a rather low entry level. I love the librarians, and want the contest to be a success, so all three boys entered and drum roll……
Two of the three boys will be representing the school for the district bookmark art contest! For winning this portion of the contest they were given a certificate and coupons for frozen yogurt! (Thrilled.)

I missed the whole event (I was homemaking hot cocoa for Tony’s Classroom christmas party) and am lucky to have a wonderful bunco buddy who came to the rescue with her camera.I bow to her for thinking quick on her feet and getting the pictures! It seems Joe didn’t want to come up to the front when his name was called. It was pajama day in his class and he was a little embarrassed. Nick had been called first, so when Joe didn’t come up when his name was called, Nick leaned over to the principal and said, “He’s here, he came with me to school in the car.” the principal relayed this info over the microphone and Joe came up reluctantly. I’m proud of you bookmark artist.
